Today’s Topic: Solid Ground
Scripture: He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Psalm 40:2–3, NLT

Today’s Word
A difficult, dark time in your life doesn’t have to keep you from your destiny. You may be in the pit as David said he had been, but you need to get ready, because you’re coming out. That depression is not the end, the sickness is not the end, and the addiction is not the final chapter. The person who walked out on you is not the end. If they left you, you didn’t need them. If they walked out, they were not a part of your destiny.

God has somebody better. He wants to put a new song in your heart. Don’t get comfortable in the pit. Don’t let self-pity and discouragement steal your passion. You have to get your fire back. Every blessing that God promised you He still has every intention of bringing to pass. People can’t stop it, bad breaks can’t stop it, and mistakes you’ve made don’t have to stop it. Dreams coming to pass are in your future, with increase, abundance, promotion, health, and restoration. That’s what’s up in front of you. Solid ground is how your story ends.

Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that the pits I find myself in are only temporary stops along the way to my final destination. Thank You that I can sing a new song of praise because You lift me out of whatever holds me back. I believe that You’ll get me to where I’m supposed to be. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

TODAY’S INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE: The Scripture says, “Lift up your head and the King of glory will come in.” If you’re going to get unstuck, you can’t go around with your head down, focused on your problems, thinking you’ve reached your limits. As long as your head is down, you’re going to stay where you are. Do yourself a favor. Lift up your head. Have a new perspective. He did it for all those people in the Bible and He’s going to do it for you. He controls the universe.

You may have tried everything you can. You’ve done your best, but nothing has improved. You don’t have any more options. The good news is God never runs out of options. You don’t see a way, but God has ways you’ve never thought of. Instead of having a defeated mindset, “I never get good breaks, I can’t get healthy, this addiction is too strong.” Turn it around. “I may be stuck now but I know this: I’m coming out. Something good is going to happen to me. Blessings are chasing me down.”

The enemy would love for you to start planning your demise, planning your downturn, living lonely and addicted. His goal is to keep you focused on the problems: how impossible it looks, how long it’s been, what the experts say. The Scripture says, “Look away from all that distracts, unto Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.” In difficult times, more than ever, you have to look away from the distractions and look up. You may be stuck now, but the good news is that God is not finished. What He starts, He’s going to complete. Keep looking up. Keep thanking Him that He’s working. Keep declaring what He promised. Keep talking like it’s on the way.
